What to do with a falling ceiling???
Well the easiest answer is to replace it. Well duh? We have an older home in our long term rental program with a HVAC system that is less than two years old. Well it has been leaking due to a drain line leaking which was not installed correctly. Last week the tenant called and said the roof was leaking and could I come out to take a look. Well I called my roofer (WHICH ARE VERY HARD TO COME BY) and set up a time for them to come out the next day. Well I went ahead and went to the house to see what I thought and also to get a picture of the "damage". During my visit the tenant discovered that is actually was the HVAC system. Called out our new go to company and got the leak fixed. Well, well, well, received a call from the tenant this morning..THE CEILING HAS FALLEN DOWN. Remember now it is an older home...so cement plaster is the what is on the ceiling. Dear, dear, dear...Well next step...get the gosh darn HVAC fixed. Then get the maintenance company over to get the sheet rock up, tape it, mud it and WAIT for it to dry. You are thinking...what is the big deal...Well our receptionist is on vacation, so we are short handed in the office, this particular tenant will not allow workers in her house unless she is there or someone from the office is there. Well she is busy at work this week so I will have to sit and babysit the workers while the work load at the office piles up. So there it is...It is what it is and I should be lucky to have a job.
